A southern girl by birth, though maybe not so much by definition. A childhood full of horses, homeschooling, orchards, good cooking, four brothers, three sisters, desert and beach sands. Much love for San Diego harbors, Arizona skies, Spanish moss, Texas porches, and a bundle of friends and family from here to there … but the siren song of the northwest was too tough to ignore. Alaska is the place for me. Here I raise babies, experiment with food and fabric, listen to lots of music, and take entirely too many photographs.

About my photos…
I add a lot of photos to my flickr that I don’t post here. I’m happy to share them if you ask me first.
I use two cameras and two lenses:
a Nikon D70 with an 18-70mm lens
and a Nikon D80 with a 50mm, f/1.8D lens.
Sometimes I interchange the lenses but not often. I really, really love my 50mm, for which I am now experimenting with a macro filter kit. Much fun!
